Blue Sky Archives Announce New Single
Blue Sky Archives will release the single ,Cosplay The Hard Way, on Monday 16 January 2012. Available as a free download, the track is the first taster from their forthcoming Triple A Side. Recorded at Chem 19, produced by Iain Cook (Aereogramme/ The Unwinding Hours) and engineered by Jamie Savage, the three track follow up to their acclaimed second offering,Plural, is scheduled for release on Monday 27 February 2012.
Blue Sky Archives are pioneering a genre called post-rock pop. Formed in Glasgow in 2010, the five-piece have quickly emerged as one of the most interesting new prospects on the Scottish music scene.
Having released their self-titled debut EP in June 2010, recorded in their home studio with Pete Flett (Dead or American/ Holy Mountain), their 2011 follow up, Plural, marked an explicit artistic development for the band and generated a strong response across a host of respected media.
Rapidly building an impressive live CV, the band have performed across a broad range of key Scottish platforms, including Stag and Dagger and King Tut’s Summer Nights, along with a series of successful London dates and a triumphant appearance at Unifestival in Belgium. To date Blue Sky Archives have shared billing with the likes of Twin Atlantic, The Primitives,Lou Hickey, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Tommy Reilly.
