Glasgow quartet The Cosmic Dead will be touring their new album around half of Europe this year write Derick Mackinnon and Olaf Furniss read Scotsman.com 


Glasgow quartet The Cosmic Dead have been creating hypnotic, underground psych-rock for years. Consisting of sound engineers/producers Omar Aborida, Tommy Duffin, Luigi Pasquini (who own and operate Dystopia Studios and 16 Ohm) the lineup is completed by fiddler Calum Calderwood.

They’ve been championed by everyone from The Quietus to Vice, Drowned in Sound and The Skinny and are signed to cool Italian record label and booking agency Heavy Psych Sounds.

Thanks to numerous tours throughout the US, UK and mainland Europe, they’ve shared the stage with artists such as Shellac, Electric Wizard and Dead Meadow and performed at festivals including Psycho Las Vegas, Roadburn and Liverpool Psych Fest.

Their new album Beyond The Beyond is released on 17 April with the launch party at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow on 2 May with support from Attack of the Stick Insects and The First Morning.
