Abbie Gordon, Katie Nicoll and CAIT tour Scotland for the first tour of 2023 visiting Dundee on 24 January, Aberdeen on 25 and Irvine on 26 January 2023

The initiative is run by Scottish Music Centre and funded by Creative Scotland and PRS Foundation and has acted as an early stepping-stone in the careers of musicians and songwriters including Lewis Capaldi, Be Charlotte, Parliamo and more.

ABBIE GORDON

Abbie Gordon has been performing and writing songs from a very early age. The young singer songwriter is also a participant in Hit The Road’ sister project Musicplus+ (offering acts 14-19 years old one-to-one mentoring opportunities with industry professionals) and is at the beginning of her live music career. She headlines her native Irvine in Ayrshire at Harbour Arts Centre on Thursday 26 January. This year will be the year she records music for release. CÁIT

CÁIT is a young indie/rock artist from Aberdeen. So far she’s been featured by Amazing Radio, on over 60 playlists including Edinburgh’s Underground Sounds, and performed online raising awareness for mental health and autism. Live dates have so far included The True North festival and collaborations with rappers Yxng Lain & Symi Nemesis.

KATIE NICOLL

Hailing from Kirriemuir, Katie Nicoll has already been championed by BBC Introducing, BBC in the Afternoons, BBC Radio 1’s Future Alternative show as well as airplay courtesy of Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio. She’s supported former HTR artist Be Charlotte (who also invited the musician to two songwriting camps) and has played gigs for the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH).
