Hailing from the coastal town of Irvine, 19-year-old singer songwriter, Abbie Gordon is creating a significant buzz.
We first encountered the young musician through youth music project Hit The Road - well-known for helping develop artists such as Lewis Capaldi and Be Charlotte - and then again via Highlands live music and video platform NetSounds at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
Gordon has a knack for writing ultra catchy perfect pop songs, with her single Out of Wine, clocking-up over 20,000 streams on Spotify alone. She has also had support from Apple Music, Deezer with airplay via RAPAL on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal, BBC Introducing on BBC Radio Scotland and Go Radio.
She has also supported UTR favourite Calum Bowie at The Barrowland Ballroom, and rising star Kerr Mercer. Her next single, the equally melodic Bottlemouth, was recorded with The Nocturns (Tom Grennan, Calum Scott), and is released next Friday ahead of a headline show at Glasgow’s King Tuts on 2 April with support from Ewan McKenna visit https://www.instagram.com/abbiegordonmusic/
