His career highlights so far include of course being on The Voice, performing in front of a 30,000 strong crowd at Goodison Park stadium, a sold-out headline show at the legendary King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, and performing at local festivals such as Party At The Palace and Vibration Festival

- What first inspired you to pick up an instrument / start writing?

“When I was 13 I asked for a guitar for Christmas. Within a few days, I could pretty much listen to a song and work out how to play it. Ed Sheeran is / was my biggest influence and I soon got hold of the kind of loop pedal he uses live too.”

- How would you describe your sound in terms of genre and who are your main influences?

“I’d probably go with alternative pop for genre, I’m definitely influenced by artists like Ed Sheeran, The Weekend, Post Malone, Kid Laroi, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles”

- What’s your favourite live experience / performance so far?

“I was absolutely blown away and really humbled by how everyone supported me during The Voice, it means the world to me”

- It’s been a bit of a whirlwind for you already, what do your career highlights look like so far / anything you’ve ticked off your wish list?

“Performing in front of 30,000 people at Goodison Park stadium for a charity Match for Peace between Everton and Ukrainian team Dynamo Kyiv was really special, it’s a rite of passage to have a sold-out King Tuts show under my belt and it’s a thrill playing more local festivals such as Party At The Palace and Vibration Festival.”

- Where are you based and do you have a day job (if so what), or are you self-employed / full-time musician?

“I am based in Falkirk and I’m lucky enough to be a full time musician, I own my own small recording studio where I get to write, record and produce every single day”

- Can you tell me more about your recent release Warning Signs what’s it about and is your songwriting based on personal experiences or do you take inspiration from the world around you?

Warning Signs was written last year during a session at First Cut Music Studios, working alongside composer / producer / songwriter Dan Gautreau. The song is basically about falling for someone, despite all the warning signs that it’s the wrong move. Yes I do write a lot about personal experiences, I’ve always been honest about my own struggles with anxiety and depression, and as a result, I do everything I can to support mental health charities and organisations. Speaking about mental health is something I use my platform to raise awareness of I’m a big supporter of the Scott Martin Foundation.”

- We love hearing about non-musical hobbies and interests, is there anything outside of music you enjoy or most people might not know about you?

“I’ve always enjoyed boxing, I do it to let off steam and keep fit, I like the idea of setting up an official debut match at some point, maybe a charity event”
