Luke Hunter | JUMP Artist of the Week in Scotland On Sunday, 3 January 2021

Words by Derick Mackinnon and Olaf Furniss. Read on Scotsman.com

Luke Hunter is a promising young singer songwriter from Edinburgh. Despite his latest single Another Minute being about a heartbreak, it’s a fantastically upbeat, bright indie-pop song, which helped him claim a spot in the Singer Songwriter Charts on release.

Hunter is a multi-instrumentalist, a classically trained pianist and an incredibly prolific songwriter, having already released five albums (three in the last 18 months alone) - all the more impressive given the fact he is only 20-years-old.

Airplay courtesy of RAPAL on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal, Jim Gellatly on Amazing Radio he’s also supported higher profile artists such as Roddy Hart and Kyle Falconer from The View. With multiple vaccination programmes being rolled out, we’re hopeful live music will return this year (in some form). If they go ahead, he’s been confirmed for North Berwick Festival, and Youth Radio Festival fingers crossed. https://www.facebook.com/LukeHMusic
